 Blackie has become one of our favorites. He is a very happy boy. Found as a stray wandering around by Hopkinton State Park a wonderful man found him and brought him to us. No one seems to be looking for this great guy. We figure he is about 8 yrs old. He is in great shape, loves to walk, sit by your side, hang with some of the other dogs and lay around out in the yards. He will make a great addition to any family.

 Chloe is about 2 1/2 yrs old. She is a very loving girl that needs a special home to work with her on her behavioral plan. Chloe gets very attached to her family, but gets stressed and protective when company comes over. She needs owners who will be committed to working with her on a plan that includes basic obedience training, giving her lots of exercise daily and will work on settling and removing her from stress when company comes over, using a crate as needed. She will do best in a calm household with a set routine. She is very affectionate with her family, and loves to run.
We are hoping to find a Foster to Adopt situation for Chloe. She is a special girl and we want to find her the loving home she deserves.

 Emmie is a sweet soul! One look in her eyes and you know she's seen it all. She's a very sweet girl that has just never been loved, but she sure knows what it is and wants it so badly.
She's a very dignified lady that was used for not so dignified purposes and deserves to have the world revolve around her now. After living her life in a garage and then giving birth to 14 puppies, it is now her turn to be babied!
Emmie was dumped at a shelter - emaciated and trying to nurse her pups which were just 4 days old. All 14 pups survived and have been safely placed into loving homes and we are now looking for the perfect home for her. Emmie is very strong, but is extremely intelligent and eager to please and wants to be by your side at all times. She knows some basic commands and is gentle with taking treats. She won't let you stop petting her and will work her nose under your hand and flip it to her head for pets and lovings. At that point, you can't refuse! And her beautiful brown eyes will draw you right in!

 James is a 6 yr old looking for his forever home. He is one of our "special boys". He will need to live with a single female in a quiet home without much traffic. He becomes loyal to one person and only one person. Every staff member and all our volunteers love this guy. He is great with us. He loves to go for long walks, car rides and play with his stuffies. He loves attention from his "person". Every night before he goes to bed he looks through the toy bucket to find just the right toy to bring with him.
We will be sending James to a training program to find out if we can work with his issue. His forever home will need to be able to work with the trainer to learn the techniques needed to help him adjust and be comfortable with his new owner and surroundings.

 UPDATE 7/11/08: Sam is becoming very unhappy and stressed at the kennel and we are in DIRE need of a foster or forever home for him. He has such wonderful potential and with a little positive reinforcement, he will truly excel and become the breed ambassador we know he can be!!!!
Between 8 and 9 months old, this handsome black pit bull pup is definitely a winner! People-focused, as all pit bulls are, Sam loves to be cuddled and would definitely fail at selling kisses.  We Love this boy and he very much needs a home!! Wyatt is just coming back from training where he did great! He is very sweet and loves to play! He is 1 yr old and has a lot of energy and love to give. What Wyatt needs when he comes to his new home is structure and leadership! When you look at his cute face it's too easy to give in to him and let him have his way. But what Wyatt (and lots of young dogs) need are rules and guidance!
He doesn't want to be in charge but if you let him he'll take that role. He wants to be given the structure and guidance to show the wonderful dog he is!
