Zoey (aka Princess)

princess.jpg  Hi Elaine, I wanted to thank you for all your help through our adoption process adopting Zoey (formerly Princess). She has adjusted to our home very nicely. She spent the first couple of weeks in my son, bedroom. On occasion, we'd opened the door and try to get her to explore the rest of the house. Now she is QUEEN of the house! Princess was the right name for her after all. Zoey is so attached to my son it's adorable. He leaves a room and she is right behind him following him like a dog. It's the cutest thing. She acts more like a dog, which is just what we were hoping for being former dog owners. (Our black lab passed away a year ago.)  Story Con't Below!

Sarah & Madison
furries.jpg

I just wanted to let you know that both our “girls” adopted from you are doing well. We adopted Sarah, now about 4yrs (who you knew as Tinkerbell) back in Dec. 2007. We decided this past April that she needed a companion since, due to a work schedule change, we weren’t at home quite as much as we had been and didn’t want her lonely—enter our “Halloween cat” Madison at 7mos. old who we officially adopted in May. Now I’m not going to say they were best friends from day 1, but as you can see in the picture I’m sending you they have now become close. They even work together now to steal food from the kitchen and any small objects put down on a table.

Thank you for these members of our family,
Carolyn & Joel

Isis (aka Juniper)

isis2.jpgIn June 2008, my 16 year old Tuxedo Cat, Chaz, had to be put to sleep.  She was my best friend and it was very hard on me.  I decided to get another cat to try and ease the pain, but I didn't think I'd love another as much as I loved Chaz.   I was getting ready to head to a shelter close to my home, but a good friend strongly advised I go to Baypath.  She told me what a great group of people they had working there and that my adoption would be handled with the utmost compassion and thoroughness.

The moment my parents and I walked in to the cat complex, an adorable
pastel Tortie approached my mom, got up on her hind feet and put her front
paws on Mom's legs.  She looked up at my Mom as if to say "please take
me".   That was it...I had found my next best friend.  Her name was
"Juniper Breeze" when I adopted her, but I renamed her "Isis".     Isis is
a love.  She's extremely affectionate and follows me everywhere.  She
jumps up to the front window and meows when I get home, and can't wait for
me to come in the door.

I know there could have been extenuating circumstances for the
person/family who once owned her, but I couldn't believe that someone
could have given her up.  I felt so bad for their loss, but happy for my
gain.  Isis brings happiness and love into my life every single day.
Thank you Baypath!

Dianne

Mallory (aka Con Fetti)
IMG_4571A.JPG We wanted to update Baypath on our success story! We adopted Mallory a few weeks ago from the shelter. Since the moment she walked into our house, she has stolen our hearts and made us so happy. Within ten minutes of ‘being home’, she was ready for love and attention and cuddled up with us on the couch. She’s a dream and we’re thrilled we chose her. Thank you to whoever brought her to Baypath last month and to Baypath for taking good care of her!

Martha (Ida)
IMG_3968.JPG Hi All, Here is our kitty Martha (formerly Ida), adopted in June. She is a delight! Very playful, very cozy (climbs into a lap as soon as one of us sits down anywhere!), and seems to be getting along with our other cat Maxine.  We love her!
Enjoy the photos! Paul, Lucy, Isabelle and Paul

Beignet (formerly named Xiao Mei)
100_0126.jpg I am attaching pictures of Beignet (formerly named Xiao Mei) who was fostered by Marissa, as well as Beignet's roomies, Ginger (the orange cat) and Sadie (with the stripe on her face). Sadie and Ginger were rescues from Milford Humane in 2001. I know you like to have success stories and Beignet has been a great addition to my home. She is quite a character!

Marco
marco.jpg  Marco is our very special cat. He has taken over our couch, bed, and our hearts, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We feel so blessed to be able to have him in our lives.

Willie Nelson
willie_and_his_new_friend.jpg  Dear Baypath,
Willie Nelson and is already a huge part of our family. Our other cat and dogs have already accepted him as one of the crew. He comes running when we call "WillieWillieWillie!!" and carries his fuzzy toys around in his mouth just like a dog would, it is adorable!
Thank you again for bringing this little joy-boy into our lives.

Wishing you all the best,
Nathan & Melissa

Jasmine
jasmine1.jpg
I adopted Jasmine in December and I couldn't be happier with her. It took her a little while to warm up to the house but now she fits right in. Her and her new sister Lily didn't get along at first, but now you can find them sleeping together sometimes. Jasmine is a sweetheart, she sleeps with me everynight and wakes me up with kisses and love every morning. She loves to play with straws, and milk caps. She has been the best addition to our family and she is doing great!  Click Read More link below to see more pictures!

Keiko Key & Kenny Lane

kl_kk_mini.jpgHello - I was fortunate enough to adopt Keiko Key & Kenny Lane on March 2,  2007. Newly christened Lucy and Linus, they quickly settled into my loft  and bonded with both me and my friends. The visit to the vet went very  well and they were both microchipped and insured. Dusty, aka Kenshin
dusty_mini.jpgIt was January of 2006 when I lost my beloved Maine Coon boy Willie to
advanced diabetes.  My dear friend Barbara called me and told me that
there were some wonderful kitties at Baypath and so I checked the website out---and saw the picture of Dusty.  I imediately asked Barbara to pick him up (I'm physically disabled) and after a two week stay at her house to get over a cold, he came to live with me...

Thomas
thomas_mini.jpgHi Cheryl,

We just wanted to update you on how wonderfully Thomas is doing! He is
such a sweet and friendly cat... he just follows everyone around to be with
them. He had a great night--he made himself right at home, easily learned
where his litter box was, ate his dinner, and played with a toy. We can see
why he was such a special cat to you all at Baypath and he has already won
many hearts over, here. :) He tolerated and ate his medication today like a
champ.

Mick Jagger
mickjagger_mini.jpgDear Cheryl,

Thank you so very much for finding us the most wonderful cat. We have been searching for the perfect cat for our family for a couple of months and yes our hearts went out to all of those homeless cats but none of them fit us as a family. Mick - now named Jake (after one of my daughter's favorite shows ("Jakers")is the sweetest most loving kitty I have ever owned. He is so affectionate and just loves to be around us at all times. He warmed up to all of us right away and didn't really hide. He is eating and using his litter box and we feel very blessed to have him.

Peter
I wanted to let you know how our little cat Peter is doing. My husband and I adopted him from Baypath in January of 2005. Petey had a HUGE set of shoes -- paws -- to fill. In March of 2004, we had to put down our beloved old cat after having adored him for 16 years. It was a total shock for us. We had brought him to the vet for his annual checkup, having no idea that there was anything wrong with him. He had severe kidney problems and we had to euthanize him almost immediately. He was the light of our lives, the third member of our family (a friend, not like a child at all), and we were devastated.

Sonny and Cher (aka Milo and Maudy)
sonnycher_miniI thought you might be interested in hearing about pets that are adopted from your shelter. I got Sonny and Cher August 8th and it became clear to me that they were feral with little socializing. We have come a long way since then but still have a way to go. They both remain skittish but doing better.

Zabu (formerly Reese)

zabu_mini Dear Baypath,

I adopted Zabu (formerly known as Reesie) this past February, or shall I say he adopted me. I could tell he was happy when I brought him to his home. He pranced rather than walked and needed to check out every inch of his new home. We have lots of play time together and he loves to snuggle up with me at night and first thing in the morning. He is such a warm and loyal companion and I want to thank you for bringing Zabu into my life. I've included recent pictures of my fiesty tiger.
