Hi,
Ella here – formerly called Della (Duck). I just want to say thanks and many purrs for
finding me such a good home. It only took me about a week to whip my ‘brothers’ into
shape and now I am clearly the BOSS.
I’m not a lap cat like my predecessor – I’m more of a chest cat.
Mom complained at
first because her hands weren’t free for reading or typing but I soon convinced her that
she should use that time for simply relaxing – something humans sometimes have a
problem with. We cats wrote the book on relaxing and it’s time that humans followed our
example. Besides, Hhlllwith me anchoring mom to her chair, she gets to clear her mind
and just savor the stillness. So, I guess I’m more than just an adorable purring bundle of
fur, I’m also therapeutic!

Last summer, my husband and I decided it was time for us to get another cat. Since our other cat Yuki was still showing signs of morning after the loss of a previous cat who died seven months before of cancer. We were thinking about adopting a kitten but when we came across the Baypath website and saw Suko as well as meet him, we were very taken by him. Now after several months, Yuki and Suko are great together. They each show general concern for the other and cuddle up at times like littermates. We are very thankful to have Suko and we love everything about him. We don’t know how our little family would be without him.

Hello BayPath, I'm writing to give you an update on *Bella *(formerly known as "Beauty") and forward a picture. Bella is doing well after a month of settling in. She is so good - always on her best behavior - I'm still waiting for her to get into some kind of kitten trouble ! I'm very glad I adopted her and met the young girls who found her in the woods and brought her to the shelter! She's a princess now! Marcia

About a year ago, I walked into Baypath and heard a constant meowing. In the center of the cages, was a black cat meowing very nervously. She was just too precious to leave. Since taking her home, I found out she has slowly come out of her shell and has begun to trust humans. She is even friends with our German Shepard! Cocoa is an amazing cat, as many cats that are put into shelters. I hope more people adopt from Shelters. Cocoa is truly a gem. Thank you Bay Path for giving Cocoa a second chance!!

Hi, I adopted Meredith in June of 2009, shortly after my brother's tragic death. She has been very helpful in the healing of that great sadness. I thought you would like to know that she's happy and healthy. There's no other word to describe her than "sweet." She loves to have her belly rubbed. She's very affectionate and sleeps next to me every night. When I saw her on your website I said to myself "That's the kitty for me." And she was. Thank you! Jeffrey

Hello, A couple months back we adopted a 2 yr old short haired cat named Mitzi. When we met Mitzi, who now goes by "Sabes", she was shy, timid, and looked to be in need of a love. I just wanted to let Baypath know she's been nothing but a joy to our life since getting her. Since coming to our home, she's adapted very well and is as sociable as can be. Her spunky personality has given me and my girlfriend so much joy, everyday with her makes us smile. She's in good health, good spirits, and loves her new home. I just wanted to let everyone there know she is doing great and as happy as ever.
Thank you

I adopted Calypso on July 17th, and I just wanted to let you know she's
doing really well. She is an incredibly sweet girl, still purring up a
storm, and very playful for an 8 year old. She definitely enjoys being
the only cat; no problems with eating or using the litter box now. I had
a lot of reservations about adopting an older cat, but am really glad she
came home with me! She was clearly well taken care of before she came to
the shelter, and I'm glad her previous owners were brave enough to give
her a second chance at a happy home!
Thanks again, Lori

I've been wanting to write you and update you for some time, but have been trying to get good pictures of our wonderful dog (Rusty) and cat (Griswold-formally known as Jonas), adopted from you last September. The two are wonderful, and fast friends. We can't believe that Griswold was surrendered for not being good with other animals!
See attached photos. Rusty and Griswold play together like two dogs (Gris never extends his claws or bites), they sleep together, and would eat out of the same bowl (if we didn't know that dog food isn't the best for cats). He is an incredibly friendly cat; very affectionate. Rusty is just all dog. Sweet and game for anything.
Thank You
Linda

Hi Elaine, I wanted to thank you for all your help through our adoption process adopting Zoey (formerly Princess). She has adjusted to our home very nicely. She spent the first couple of weeks in my son, bedroom. On occasion, we'd opened the door and try to get her to explore the rest of the house. Now she is QUEEN of the house! Princess was the right name for her after all. Zoey is so attached to my son it's adorable. He leaves a room and she is right behind him following him like a dog. It's the cutest thing. She acts more like a dog, which is just what we were hoping for being former dog owners. (Our black lab passed away a year ago.) Story Con't Below!

I just wanted to let you know that both our “girls” adopted from you are doing well. We adopted Sarah, now about 4yrs (who you knew as Tinkerbell) back in Dec. 2007. We decided this past April that she needed a companion since, due to a work schedule change, we weren’t at home quite as much as we had been and didn’t want her lonely—enter our “Halloween cat” Madison at 7mos. old who we officially adopted in May. Now I’m not going to say they were best friends from day 1, but as you can see in the picture I’m sending you they have now become close. They even work together now to steal food from the kitchen and any small objects put down on a table.
Thank you for these members of our family,
Carolyn & Joel

In June 2008, my 16 year old Tuxedo Cat, Chaz, had to be put to sleep. She was my best friend and it was very hard on me. I decided to get another cat to try and ease the pain, but I didn't think I'd love another as much as I loved Chaz. I was getting ready to head to a shelter close to my home, but a good friend strongly advised I go to Baypath. She told me what a great group of people they had working there and that my adoption would be handled with the utmost compassion and thoroughness.
The moment my parents and I walked in to the cat complex, an adorable
pastel Tortie approached my mom, got up on her hind feet and put her front
paws on Mom's legs. She looked up at my Mom as if to say "please take
me". That was it...I had found my next best friend. Her name was
"Juniper Breeze" when I adopted her, but I renamed her "Isis". Isis is
a love. She's extremely affectionate and follows me everywhere. She
jumps up to the front window and meows when I get home, and can't wait for
me to come in the door.
I know there could have been extenuating circumstances for the
person/family who once owned her, but I couldn't believe that someone
could have given her up. I felt so bad for their loss, but happy for my
gain. Isis brings happiness and love into my life every single day.
Thank you Baypath!
Dianne

Just a quick note to let you know that Cheezit, a
young male cat that we adopted last November, has settled into our
household quite nicely. He has been renamed to Butters. We adopted
Scooter and Louis from Baypath 12 years ago and as hoped, Butters added
some youth into the mix! They all get along just fine. see more pics below
Kind regards,
John

We wanted to update Baypath on our success story! We
adopted Mallory a few weeks ago from the shelter. Since the moment she
walked into
our house, she has stolen our hearts and made us so happy. Within ten minutes
of ‘being home’, she was ready for love and attention and cuddled up with
us on
the couch. She’s a dream and we’re thrilled we chose her. Thank you to
whoever
brought her to Baypath last month and to Baypath for taking good care
of her!

Hi All,
Here is our kitty Martha (formerly Ida), adopted in June. She is a delight! Very playful,
very cozy (climbs into a lap as soon as one of us sits down anywhere!), and
seems to be getting along with our other cat Maxine. We love her!
Enjoy
the photos!

Beignet (formerly named Xiao Mei) |
I am attaching pictures of Beignet (formerly named Xiao Mei) who was fostered by Marissa, as well as Beignet's roomies, Ginger (the orange cat) and Sadie (with the stripe on her face). Sadie and Ginger were rescues from Milford Humane in 2001. I know you like to have success stories and Beignet has been a great addition to my home. She is quite a character!

Marco is our very special cat. He has taken over our couch, bed, and our hearts, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We feel so blessed to be able to have him in our lives.

Dear Baypath,
Willie Nelson and is already a huge part of our family. Our other cat and dogs have already accepted him as one of the crew. He comes running when we call "WillieWillieWillie!!" and carries his fuzzy toys around in his mouth just like a dog would, it is adorable!
Thank you again for bringing this little joy-boy into our lives.
Wishing you all the best,
Nathan & Melissa

I adopted Jasmine in December and I couldn't be happier with her. It took her a little while to warm up to the house but now she fits right in. Her and her new sister Lily didn't get along at first, but now you can find them sleeping together sometimes. Jasmine is a sweetheart, she sleeps with me everynight and wakes me up with kisses and love every morning. She loves to play with straws, and milk caps. She has been the best addition to our family and she is doing great!

Hello - I was fortunate enough to adopt Keiko Key & Kenny Lane on March 2, 2007. Newly christened Lucy and Linus, they quickly settled into my loft and bonded with both me and my friends. The visit to the vet went very well and they were both microchipped and insured. Within 2 weeks they were responding.......

It was January of 2006 when I lost my beloved Maine Coon boy Willie to
advanced diabetes. My dear friend Barbara called me and told me that
there were some wonderful kitties at Baypath and so I checked the website out---and saw the picture of Dusty. I imediately asked Barbara to pick him up (I'm physically disabled) and after a two week stay at her house to get over a cold, he came to live with me...

 Hi Cheryl,
We just wanted to update you on how wonderfully Thomas is doing! He is
such a sweet and friendly cat... he just follows everyone around to be with
them. He had a great night--he made himself right at home, easily learned
where his litter box was, ate his dinner, and played with a toy. We can see
why he was such a special cat to you all at Baypath and he has already won
many hearts over, here. :) He tolerated and ate his medication today like a
champ.
