About two months ago we adopted Grizzly Adams. It’s only been a couple of months but we can’t even imagine our lives with out him. He has stolen our hearts and is completely spoiled. Although he has a beautiful cedar filled dog bed and a crate filled with blankets/towels, his favorite place to sleep is snuggled up to us on our bed . And with a face like his who can say no? He has about a dozen toys…and I always find a reason why he needs another.

Jersey (aka Jersey Barrier) |
Dear Baypath Humane Society,
We adopted Jersey, an adorable 4 year
old English Springer Spaniel, in March 2007. My friend at work located his ad
on Craig’s list. Since she knew I was looking for another Springer Spaniel, she
immediately showed it to me. I was at the shelter in a few hours and
immediately fell in love with him.

Just wanted to send a note to update you on Duffy's (formerly Sam Spade) progress. He is a great puppy. It took him some time to settle down, but now that he has he is so affectionate towards both of us. He is in puppy training and doing very well. The trainer says he is very smart! We get numerous compliments on our daily walks with him about his unique coloring. They ask us what breed he is and we have started saying "beautiful" because that's what everyone seems to call him! He has also gained 10 pounds in the month since we've had him so he is a growing boy! We wanted to thank you again for all of your help and the opportunity to make Duffy a part of our family!

She now weighs 38 lbs and looks beautiful...no more bones showing through! Thank you once again, for her. She really doesn't like her visor, so we don't put it on her except for her picture. LOL
She was Mary and we adopted her on March 16, 2006.
Take care. Susan

We adopted Charlie a little over a month ago. Our current dog Chloe had
a hard time after the death of our other dog that passed away a few
months before. Our plan was to see how Chloe did as a stand alone dog.
If she was good with it then so where we; if she was not then we were
prepared to get another dog. We noticed she was quiet and getting lonely
and so we started looking.

Hi,
I just wanted to update you on two wirehaired
Jack Russells I adopted from Baypath about a month ago. Gus (formerly
Nugget) and Jacques (formerly Mickey) are doing wonderfully and have
adjusted well to their new place. They love going for walks each day at
a nearby park and are always anxious to get in the car to go... well,
anywhere!

Hi Blair, Marilyn, and all my friend at Baypath!
It's me, Skipper, just want to let you know that I got my dog tag and am a resident of Rockport now. I am as happy as a "clam at high tide" here by the seashore with my new Mama and Papa. They are crazy in love with me! They always tell me what a good, good, boy I am. Mama walks me all around town and the tourist think I'm so cute! Who said I was aggressive, anyhow? I'm just a very good watchdog, and sound an alarm once and a while.

In May I adopted Beau from Baypath. He has adjusted very well in those three months and even graduated from beginner obedience classes. His favorite thing to do is chase a laser pointer. He knows how to wave and even learned to give his paw after watching his "cousin" Bailey give hers and receive treats.

Hello Kelly and Pam,
We have had our dog now for a month. We just want you to know how happy we all are. This has been a wonderful transition for our family. His name is MAZEL now. The name means luck and we needed luck in our lives. Both of us had been through cancer treatment and we adopted Mazel the week after treatment was finished!

Dear Baypath
Just wanted to give a quick update on Sam, now known as Bruschi. It has
only been a week since he joined our family, but he has stolen ALL of
our hearts. Even the cats, (Paws and Amy) seem to like him. Although
he is a little skittish meeting new people, it isn't taking long for
him to warm up and feel safe and secure.

Pippin (formerly Braveheart) |

Hello everyone!
I want to thank you for finding me a new home. My new owners re-named me Pippin and love me
very much. I live on an island, but am a little nervous about the ferry and the noise of the
waves. Maybe someday I'll like to swim....but for now I am happy as can be hiking through the
woods with my "mom". We go out for walks at least twice a day. I love the snow too and I
stick my head right down in it when it's deep!

Good Afternoon,
To everyone at Baypath,
I just wanted to give a big thanks for helping me find
Wilson. He is really just the sweetest dog ever and
his transition into my household has been seamless.
From his very first night home he has taken everything
in stride: two grouchy cats, a bath, rides in the
truck, new people, new dog friends, and new
environments.

Dear folks at Baypath,
Spencer wants you to know that he is loving his new home and his new family. He has a daily routine that includes walking one of his kids to school each morning and then walking his owner to Starbucks to visit with all the other dogs whose owners have coffee adictions.
He particularly loves going to all the soccer games and practices where the little girls make such a fuss over him.

Hello everyone,
Hard to believe it has been a year since we adopted Sam, aka Flash, so we wanted to update you with some pictures.
We celebrated with a cake yesterday, dog-friendly of course, made with peanut butter, carob, honey by the bakers at Fi-dough (fun place). The others are Sam the couch potato!

Dear Baypath,
We just wanted to give you an update on Bailey. We adopted her at the
end of August and she immediately made herself right at home with us.
She has so much energy that no one can believe she is almost eight
years old - most people ask us how old our puppy is!! Bailey loves
walks and she thinks that every time we leave the house it might be
another opportunity for her to go on a car ride. She is very loving
and everyone she meets falls in love with her. Thank you for caring
for her so well while she was at Baypath - we are so happy that she's
now found her forever home with us.

Alvin and Jasper (formerly Jared) |
|
We adopted Alvin a year and a half ago. It took very little time for
him
to become a much loved member of our family. He in fact became the
"baby." He loves it when our twenty three year old son holds him and
rocks him in the rocking chair - it really is a sight to see!!! He is
very intelligent and has learned many tricks. He loves being with
people
and long car rides. When my daughter goes back to school in Newport,
RI
he has to go along for the ride to visit with all the students in her
dorm and take a swim in the ocean!!
