Hi Baypath,
I just wanted to give you an update on Nita, as it was a month on Wednesday. She is doing VERY well here on Nantucket. It's a perfect place for a dog, especially one who needs extra care and love. Continued below......
It's a
nice quiet place for her, just a big town. Many people on the island
already know her, as they see her everywhere. She is by my side 20
hours a day, so shes never bored. She LOVES running on the beach. She
runs off to explore the water, dunes, and birds but come back to me the
second a call her, running full speed! She visits the duck pond and
the beach with me every day, as well as a few wild paths for walking
several times a week.
Her tail is almost always wagging, and the only
reason she ever pulls me on the leash now is because she can't wait to
see the ducks! She has made incredible progress already! I never
thought she'd be doing so well after just a month! She runs and jumps
around the house.&n
bsp; She runs around my parents yard and house with her cocapoo friend
Nelly when we visit (several times a week). It's a great community
here, and people are very eager to love Nita and be kind to her.
She's
taking training classes with me, and picks up skills very quickly!!!
She's a wonderful dog! She's in a very safe and wonderful environment
where she will continue to grow. I will send on pictures in a few
days. I keep forgetting to take them, but I know you'll be pleased
when you see them.
Thank you to you and everyone else who gave her a
home, loved her, and kept her safe. She's really a wonderful dog!!!!
