Zoey (aka Princess) Print E-mail

princess.jpg  Hi Elaine, I wanted to thank you for all your help through our adoption process adopting Zoey (formerly Princess). She has adjusted to our home very nicely. She spent the first couple of weeks in my son, bedroom. On occasion, we'd opened the door and try to get her to explore the rest of the house. Now she is QUEEN of the house! Princess was the right name for her after all. Zoey is so attached to my son it's adorable. He leaves a room and she is right behind him following him like a dog. It's the cutest thing. She acts more like a dog, which is just what we were hoping for being former dog owners. (Our black lab passed away a year ago.)  Story Con't Below!

Zoey loves attention. When she wants you to pet her, she lays in front of you on the floor and rolls on her back and cries. She's a real ham. LOVES to play. She has 3 kitty condos/scratching posts and many, many toys and her favorite is a grey mouse that looks like a real mouse and squeaks. She even plays fetch! Last week the kids and I went to Maine for their February vacation and my husband stayed home with Zoey. He said Zoey became his pal. She hung out with him all the time. She's very sweet and loves to be with anyone. My husband joined us in Maine on Friday night, so I had my friend, Pam Curran (She's volunteered with you) to check on her Saturday. Zoey greeted her at the door longing for attention. So she is getting brave and meeting everyone who comes over to HER house. She is now gaining weight too! Zoey (Sometimes called Zoe-zoe, and let's out a little meow. She knows her new name.) goes to bed with my son every night. She literally follows him up to bed every night. His room is still her safe place I think. It's so sweet and so good for my son who still misses our dog. So we just wanted to let you know we are very happy to have Zoey in our home. She's a very sweet little kitty and we all love her. And to think, she began her life on the streets of Worcester.
Thanks so much for rescuing her! Enjoy the photos! Wendy
