We are always happy to have new volunteers join us, helping to care for our dogs and cats! If you would like to volunteer or want more info please contact Brenda Halloran-Donald and/or fill out our Volunteer Application. Once you have completed your Application, feel free to either:
All Volunteers will then
be scheduled to attend a mandatory Orientation session, in the order in
which their applications were received. Our Orientations are held
multiple times per month.
There are truly countless ways that Shelter Volunteers can be of service to the animals of Baypath - we discuss several of our most popular tasks within the "Volunteering" section of the Web site (Please see the page 'Your Help/Donate') - you will learn of the MANY ways to help, both at the Shelter, and also at home (Our Foster program!).
Dog walking is among our most popular activities:
Dog Walkers needed - Here is a great way to get in shape while helping our dogs! Dog walkers are needed daily at the Shelter. Seven days a week, our dogs are walked starting at 8:00 each morning and 2:30 each afternoon, rain or shine.
Walking our dogs regularly breaks up their day, allows them to receive some much-enjoyed exercise (Especially important on days when poor weather prevents them from spending time in our outdoor exercise pens), and helps to keep them socialized and content as they eagerly await their forever homes.
If you would like to share some time and take a brisk walk with our loving dogs any morning or afternoon, please come on down to the Shelter and fill out/drop off your Volunteer Application. We will look forward to meeting you.
