Touring:
Volunteers at Baypath organize and conduct shelter tours for Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, church youth groups and many other community organizations. Tour groups not only meet our visiting animals but also are educated about proper pet care, the importance of spaying and neutering and the behind-the-scenes efforts involved in maintaining an animal shelter. Kids who tour with us leave with a better understanding of responsible pet ownership. They make friends here at Baypath and they have fun. In the past, many groups have contributed food, money, supplies and their time. We appreciate the generosity and always welcome the opportunity to help educate our youth.
If you're interested in touring with us, please email us. Be certain to include day/evening phone numbers so that we may get back in touch with you.
Our Staff:
There are some paid positions at the shelter, each one directly involved in the everyday care of our furry charges. We also have a small army of dedicated volunteers who are the heart of our entire operation. These wonderful people donate practically every spare moment of their time to us, even walk our dogs in horrid weather. We could not do without them.
